The Emax CF2805 is a 0.9 ounce, 2800KV direct drive outrunner motor that works well on small pusher jets and flying wings when using a 3 cell Lipo battery, and for a wide variety of small foam models when using a 2 cell Lipo battery.

The Emax CF2805 will produce about 15 ounces of thrust with both two and three cell Lipo batteries. A nice power setup to consider for many small scratch built foamies is the CF2805 with a GWS 7035 prop,  Power Up 20A Electronic Speed Control (ESC) and the Power Up 7.4v 1300 20C Lipo battery.

I recommend using the Power Up 20A or 32A ESC, depending on what battery and prop you use. The timing of the ESC should be set to 'soft' (also called inrunner timing), and this is easily accomplished with your transmitter. Clear instructions are provided with the ESC.

To mount a prop, you will need a 3mm Prop Adapter, or 3mm Prop Saver.

MOUNTING OPTIONS: A firewall mount is included, and an Aluminum Stick Mount (for models with 11mm sticks) is available in our store. Always check the tightness of  all motor set screws and motor mount screws when installing motors. The set screws require a 1.5mm Allen wrench. The picture below is for reference only. NO STICK MOUNT IS INCLUDED.

Recommended props when using 3 cell Lipo (11.1v) batteries:

The APC 5.25x4.75 prop produces about 15 ounces of thrust at 20 amps. Use with caution.

The APC 4.5x4.1 prop produces about 14 ounces of thrust at 15 amps.

The APC 4.1x4.1 speed 400 prop produces about 11 ounces of thrust at 12.5 amps.

Recommended props when using 2 cell Lipo (7.4v) batteries:

The GWS EP 7035 prop produces about 15 ounces of thrust at 13 amps.

The GWS EP 6030 prop produces about 13 ounces of thrust at 11 amps.

The APC 6x4 speed 400 prop produces about 13 ounces of thrust at 13 amps.

The APC 6x5.5E prop produces about 10.5 ounces of thrust at 15 amps.

The APC 5.5x4.5 prop produces about 10 ounces of thrust at 12.5 amps.

The APC 5.25x4.75 prop produces about 9 ounces of thrust at 12.5 amps.

The GWS EP 5030 prop produces about 9.5 ounces of thrust at 7.5 amps.
