This Program Card allows you to change six different settings on the POWER UP series of Electronic Speed Controls. Don't let the word 'programming' scare you! This device is extremely simple to use. If you look at the picture, you can see that there are six black 'jumper connectors'. Each jumper can be placed in one of two different positions, and the choices are clearly labeled. You can see in the picture that the jumper for the voltage cut-off selection is removed. There are 3 pins on the voltage selection, and the jumper would be placed on the top two pins to select for high voltage cut-off. You would make similar selections with the other jumpers.
With the speed control installed in your model, you simply plug the speed control's receiver connector into the Program Card at the top right slot, then hook up your battery. You will hear a beep, and the programming is done! Unplug the battery, then plug the speed control back into the models' receiver, and you're good to go. The programming is permanent until you decide to change it.
Here are the programming options available on this program card:
1. Selection of battery type. Choose between Lipo or Nihm/NiCD.
2. Motor cut-off voltage. Choose between HIGH or LOW. (3.0v/cell or 2.7v/per cell for Lipo batteries, and 0.9v/per cell or 0.7v/cell for NiMh batteries)
3. Type of rotation (motor) shut down. Choose between a gradual motor shut down or a sudden motor shut down.
4. Type of throttle acceleration. Choose between low and high throttle acceleration.
5. Motor brake on or off. This setting can also be changed with a transmitter.
6. Timing for outrunner or inrunner motor. This setting can also be changed with a transmitter.
An instruction sheet is included with the program card.
