The Power Up 450 Sport is a 2.5 ounce, 1100KV, 450 class outrunner brushless motor that works well on many medium to large size parkflyers. It will produce up to 37 ounces of thrust when using a 3 cell Lipo battery and the GWS 1060 prop. This motor includes an X mount and prop adapter!
The Power Up 450 Sport is a good choice for a wide variety of models. You can choose to have moderate performance and light weight using a GWS EP9050 prop and the EZ Flite 11.1v 1300 30C or 11.1v 1500 30C Lipo battery. If you're looking for high speed and maximum thrust, try the GWS EP1060 prop and the EZ Flite 11.1v 1800 30C Lipo battery.
We recommend using a 30A to 40A ESC with the Power Up 450 motor. Many of our speed controls come with 3.5mm female connectors installed, so no soldering is needed when used with this motor.
MOUNTING OPTIONS: The Power Up 450 includes an X mount that makes it easy to mount the motor in front of a firewall. It also can be mounted on the front of a GWS Plastic Outrunner Mount, making it a drop-in fit for many planes with 10mm sticks.
A 4mm Prop Adapter is included for mounting props.
Propeller test data for the Power Up 450 when using a 3-cell Lipo battery: Rotating propellers are dangerous. Please stay clear of prop and wear safety glasses.
TP 10 x 5E: 38 oz thrust at 20 amps.
GWS EP1060: 37 ounces of thrust at 19 amps. Good choice for maximum performance.
GWS EP9050: 32 ounces of thrust at 15 amps.
GWS 9050 3-blade: 34 ounces of thrust at 17 amps. Nice for scale looks.
TP 9 x 6E: 33 oz thrust at 18 amps.
GWS EP8040: 22 ounces of thrust at 9 amps.
TP 8 x 4E: 23 oz thrust at 12 amps.
TP 8 x 6E: 24 oz thrust at 17 amps.
GWS HD8060: 23 ounces of thrust at 14.5 amps.
Propeller test data for the Power Up 450 when using a 2 cell Lipo battery:
GWS EP1170: 27 ounces of thrust at 15 amps.
GWS EP1060: 21 ounces of thrust at 11 amps.
Please be aware that the battery used can make a tremendous amount of difference in the performance of brushless motors. The above data was obtained using batteries in good condition that were fully charged. Thrust and amp draw may be less with the use of batteries rated at lower amp output, and slightly more using batteries rated for higher amp output.
