The EMAX CF2812 is a 1.4 ounce, 1600 KV, direct drive outrunner brushless motor that works well on small, high speed parkflyers, and on models that require the use of a small prop (such as pusher models). It will produce about 23 ounces of thrust using a 3 cell Lipo battery and a 7 inch prop.
The CF2812 will provide good speed for smaller models. Here is a setup that you might consider for a small jet or flying wing:
HURC 22A ESC, EZ Flite 11.1v 1000 30C Lipo battery, and APC 7x6E prop. This combination provides about 21 oz of thrust, and some very nice speed.
If you would like to upgrade to brushless power on your Wing Dragon or Multiplex Easy Star, consider this setup:
HURC 22A ESC, EZ Flite 11.1v 1500 30C to 11.1v 2200 30C Lipo battery and EMP 6x3E prop. This setup provides about 17 ounces of thrust, which is a nice improvement over the stock power systems on these models.
MOUNTING OPTIONS: A firewall mount is included, and an Aluminum Stick Mount (for models with 11mm sticks) is available in our store. Always check the tightness of all motor set screws and motor mount screws when installing motors. The set screws require a 1.5mm Allen wrench. The picture below is for reference only. NO STICK MOUNT IS INCLUDED.
To mount a prop, you will need a 3mm Prop Adapter, or 3mm Prop Saver.
Recommended props when using 3 cell Lipo batteries:
The GWS EP7035 produces 18 ounces of thrust at 10 amps.
The GWS 7035 x 3 blade produces 20 ounces of thrust at 11 amps. Nice for scale looks.
The APC 7x4E produces 23 ounces of thrust at 14 amps.
The APC 7x6E produces 21 ounces of thrust at 16 amps.
The GWS 6030 x 3 blade produces 14 ounces of thrust at 8.5 amps. Nice for scale looks.
The EMP 6x3E produces 17 ounces of thrust at 9 amps.
The APC 6x5.5E produces 15 ounces of thrust at 11 amps.
The APC 5.1x4.5E produces 12 ounces of thrust at 9 amps.
Recommended props when using 2 cell Lipo batteries:
The GWS EP9050 prop produces about 19 ounces of thrust at 13 amps.
The GWS EP8040 prop produces about 15 ounces of thrust at 9 amps.

Please be aware that the battery used can make a tremendous amount of difference in the performance of brushless motors. The above data was obtained using batteries in good condition that were fully charged. Thrust and amp draw may be less with the use of batteries rated at lower amp output, and slightly more using batteries rated for higher amp output.
