The Emax EC-0856 Balance Charger is an affordable and simple to use charger that will help keep your Lipo batteries in good condition. There's nothing fancy about it, but it does what it says - balance charges your 2 or 3 cell Lipo batteries! It is very important to keep the cells of your Lipo batteries balanced......that is, all cells should be about the same voltage. This helps prevent individual cells from being damaged during use.
This charger uses standard houseld current, and includes a 4 foot power cord. It is recommended for use with Lipo batteries of 1000mah capacity or larger.
To charge a Lipo with this charger:
1. Connect the charger to a standard 110/120 volt outlet. Three GREEN LED lights will come on, indicating that the charger is properly connected to power.
2. Plug the balance connector of your 2 or 3 cell Lipo battery into the appropriate charging port. Two or three of the LED lights will turn RED, indicating the cells are being charged.
3. The LED lights will turn GREEN when charging is complete. Unplug the battery from the charger, and disconnect power to the charger.
Please read the 'Specifications' section below to see which brand of Lipos are compatible with this charger. The picture below shows a Power Up 7.4v 1300 20C Lipo battery connected to the charger. The picture is for reference only - no battery is included.
Please read and observe all safety precautions provided with this battery charger before use. Always allow plenty of airflow around the charger when in use. Always charge Lipo batteries on a fireproof surface, and never leave unattended while charging.

Output: The charging rate is 1.2 amps (1200 milliamps). We do not recommend charging batteries smaller than 1000 mah with this charger.

Battery Connection ports: The Lipo balance connector ports are the JST XH series with 2.5mm pin spacing - 3 pins for a 2-cell Lipo, and 4 pins for a 3-cell Lipo. The JST/molex connector is used on the following batteries, with the correct polarity for this charger: 3E Model, Align, BatteryHobby, Common Sense RC version 2, DualSky, Dynam, Electric Power, Esky, EZ Flite, Fully Max, GE Power, Great Planes Electrify, Hextronic, HiModel, Hobby Loong, Horizon E-flite, Horizon Parkzone, Imax, Mega Power, Mystery, Power Up, Protek, RadicalRC, Rhino, Turborix, Turnigy, Vampower, Venom, Walkera, X-Caliber, and Zippy Lipos.
