is a 6.0 ounce, 1100KV, 740 watt outrunner brushless motor that is roughly equivalent in power to .35 to .40 two stroke glow engines. It will produce up to 77 ounces of thrust, and works well with 3 cell Lipo batteries. This motor includes an X mount and prop adapter, and it has 3.5mm male bullet connectors installed, plus female connectors are included for an ESC.
The Power Up 25 Speed is especially well suited for 3 to 4 lb models, where high speed is desired, such as warbirds and sport models. We recommend using a 60A Emax ESC, TP 10x5 prop, and an 11.1v 3200 25C or 11.1v 4500 20C Lipo battery for a good combination of thrust and speed. For even higher speed, an APC 10x7E prop can be used, but be sure there is good airflow around the motor.
MOUNTING OPTIONS: The Power Up 25 Speed includes an X mount that makes it easy to mount in front of a firewall. A 5mm Prop Adapter is included for mounting props. If you need to mount the motor BEHIND a firewall, we suggest that you consider the 3548-09 motor, as it is similar in size, but the shaft extends from the base of the motor.
Propeller test data using a 3-cell Lipo battery:
TP 11 x 5.5E: 77 oz thrust at 49 amps.
TP 10 x 5E: 69 oz thrust at 42 amps.
APC 10 x 7E: 68 oz thrust at 47 amps.
TP 9 x 6E: 56 oz thrust at 35 amps.
APC 9 x 7.5E: 53 oz thrust at 45 amps.
Propeller test data using a 4-cell Lipo battery:
APC 9 x 4.5E: 83 oz thrust at 47 amps (740 watts).
TP 8 x 4E: 56 oz thrust at 36 amps.
Please be aware that the battery used can make a tremendous amount of difference in the performance of brushless motors. The above data was obtained using batteries in good condition that were fully charged. Thrust and amp draw may be less with the use of batteries rated at lower amp output, and slightly more using batteries rated for higher amp output.
