R-4S Diagram

BINDING PROCEDURE:

Each GWS T4GP transmitter and R-4S receiver has a unique ID code, and the receiver must be linked with the ID code of the transmitter with which it is being paired.  Binding is the process of programming the receiver to recognize the ID code of a single specific transmitter, so that the receiver will only recognize the information transmitted from its previously bound transmitter and ignore everything else.  (the R-4S receiver that is included with the T4GP transmitter is already bound to the transmitter; these following instructions are only for additional R-4S receivers, and is necessary for each additional receiver to work with the transmitter).

1.  Place the T4GP transmitter and the R-4S receiver close to one another, less than one meter apart. 
2.  With the transmitter power off and no power to the receiver, plug the bind plug into the BAT port on the receiver.
3.  Power on the receiver by connecting a receiver battery to any unused port on the receiver (this can also be accomplished by first connecting an ESC to the receiver's throttle port, then connecting a flight battery to the ESC).

  1. Place the T4GP transmitter and the R-4S receiver close to one another, less than one meter apart. 
  2. With the transmitter power off and no power to the receiver, plug the bind plug into the BAT port on the receiver.
  3. Power on the receiver by connecting a receiver battery to any unused port on the receiver (this can also be accomplished by first connecting an ESC to the receiver's throttle port, then connecting a flight battery to the ESC). The red LED on the receiver will begin to blink.
  4. Turn on the transmitter (this must be completed within 10 seconds after the receiver is powered on).
  5. When the binding is complete, the red LED on the receiver will change to steady.
  6. Remove power from the receiver and turn the transmitter off, then remove the bind plug from the receiver.
Precautions:
  1. Always turn the transmitter on first, then the receiver.  When you turn the system off, always turn of the receiver first, then the transmitter.
  2. Check the polarity and integrity of connections when connecting servos to the receiver; always test controls from the transmitter to the receiver prior to each flight.
  3. Since the 2.4GHz system has different characteristics than those of conventional 27MHz and 72MHz frequencies, be sure to keep your model in sight at all times.  Large objects can block the RF signal; wire and/or mesh fences can also cause interference and loss of signal.
