The Emax BL2826/06 is a 6.8 ounce, 850KV, 700 watt outrunner brushless motor. It's a good choice for sport planes weighing 45 to 88 ounces, and 3D models weighing 40 to 60 ounces.
The BL2826/06 is designed for use with 3 and 4 cell Lipo batteries. When using a 3 cell Lipo, the APC 12x6E is a good prop for sport planes. The APC 13x6.5E prop can be used for maximum thrust, and is a good choice for 3D flying. If you're after high speed, the APC 10 x7E prop can be used with a 4 cell Lipo.
We suggest using a 3 cell Lipo battery that is rated for about a 80 amp continuous discharge (or more), such as an 11.1v 2600 35C to 11.1v 4200 35C. Good 4 cell Lipo choices would be 14.8v 2200 35C to 14.8v 3300 35C.
We recommend using a 60A to 80A Electronic Speed Control (ESC) with this motor.
The BL2826/06 comes with 4mm male connectors installed, and female connectors are included for your ESC.
MOUNTING OPTIONS: The BL2826/06 can be mounted in front of a firewall using the included X mount and 5mm prop adapter.
Propeller data for the BL2826/06 using a 3-cell Lipo battery: It's a good idea to balance all propellers with a Propeller Balancer before using them on this motor. Rotating propellers are dangerous. Please stay clear of prop and wear eye protection.
APC 13 x 6.5E: 80 oz thrust at 46 amps
APC 12 x 6E: 70 oz thrust at 34 amps
APC 12 x 8E: 65 oz thrust at 40 amps
APC 11 x 5.5E: 54 oz thrust at 27 amps
APC 11 x 7E: 59 oz thrust at 31 amps
Propeller data for the BL2826/06 using a 4-cell Lipo battery:
APC 11 x 5.5E: 86 oz thrust at 44 amps, 700 watts
APC 10 x 5E: 70 oz thrust at 29 amps, 470 watts
APC 10 x 7E: 75 oz thrust at 39 amps, 630 watts
APC 9 x 6E: 53 oz thrust at 27 amps, 430 watts
APC 9 x 7.5E: 57 oz thrust at 36 amps, 580 watts
Please be aware that the battery used can make a tremendous amount of difference in the performance of brushless motors. The above data was obtained using batteries in good condition that were fully charged. Thrust and amp draw may be less with the use of batteries rated at lower amp output, and slightly more using batteries rated for higher amp output. Other factors, such as ESC timing and variations in actual motor KV can affect the performance of brushless motors as well. We recommend the use of a Watt Meter to test the current draw of your particular power system, especially if you plan to use a prop that pushes the motor near it's maximum amp rating.
