Power Up 250 Plus

The Power Up 250 Plus is a 0.7 ounce (20 gram), 1400KV outrunner brushless motor that works well on small parkflyers, and on models intended to be flown indoors.

For slow flying models weighing about 8 to 12 ounces, we suggest using the GWS 8040 prop with our 7.4v 800 20C Lipo battery. The 8040 prop can be mounted using our 2mm Collet Type Prop Adapter (sold separately). The GWS 7035 prop can be used on 6 to 10 ounce models, and this prop can be mounted using a 2mm Set Screw Type Prop Adapter (included with motor). For the lightest possible weight, the 7.4v 400 20C or 7.4v 600 20C Lipo batteries work well with the 7035 prop.

If you need to use a 6 inch prop, consider the GWS 6030 prop and our 11.1v 450 35C or 11.1v 860 30C Lipo batteries. Providing up to 11 ounces of thrust, this set up can provide snappy performance for small flying wings and scratch built foamies. The 6030 prop fits nicely on the included 2mm Set Screw Type Prop Adapter.

A 2mm Prop Saver is also included with the motor.

We recommend using the HURC 10A ESC with this motor. The Power Up 250 Plus does not come with connectors installed, but connectors for a motor are included with the HURC 10A ESC.

MOUNTING OPTIONS: A Stick Mount and a Firewall Mount are available separately.

Recommended props when using 3 cell (11.1v) Lipo batteries:

The GWS EP 7035 prop produces about 14 ounces of thrust at 7 amps (avoid constant wide open throttle).

The GWS EP 6030 prop produces about 11 ounces of thrust at 5.5 amps.

The GWS EP 6030x3 3-blade prop produces about 12 ounces of thrust at 6 amps.

The GWS EP 5030 prop produces about 8 ounces of thrust at 3.5 amps

Recommended props when using 2 cell (7.4v) Lipo batteries:

The GWS EP 8040 prop produces about 10 ounces of thrust at 6.5 amps.

The GWS EP 7035 prop produces about 8 ounces of thrust at 4 amps.

The GWS EP 7035x3 3-blade prop produces about 8.5 ounces of thrust at 5 amps.

The TP 7x6E prop produces about 8.5 ounces of thrust at 6.5 amps.

The GWS EP 7060 prop produces about 8 ounces of thrust at 7 amps (avoid constant wide open throttle).

The GWS EP 6030 prop produces about 6.5 ounces of thrust at 3 amps.

The GWS EP 6030x3 3-blade prop produces about 7 ounces of thrust at 3.5 amps.

Please be aware that the battery used can make a tremendous amount of difference in the performance of brushless motors. The above data was obtained using batteries in good condition that were fully charged. Thrust and amp draw may be less with the use of batteries rated at lower amp output, and slightly more using batteries rated for higher amp output.
