THREE PAIR of 3.5 mm gold plated bullet connectors, plus ONE Male T-Plug connector that is compatible with Deans Ultra connectors. Shrink tube included!
The 3.5 mm connectors are a solder type connector that are widely used in the RC hobby. They are by far the most popular connector for motors up to about 25 class.
Brushless motors have three wires to connect to the Electronic Speed Control (ESC), so there are enough connectors included for one Motor/ESC connection.
The T-Plug connector is a popular 'Battery to ESC' connector. The male T-plug is soldered to the ESC, and is compatible with the female connector found on most of our batteries, and on many other brands of batteries.
Here's a tip for soldering the 3.5mm connectors:
Drill three 3/16 inch holes about 1/4 inch deep and 1/2 inch apart in a small board. Insert a 3.5mm connector in each hole, with the end to be soldered upright. Heat a connector with a soldering iron and melt a little solder into it, then insert the wire into the melted solder. Move the soldering iron away from the connector and hold the wire in place until the solder solidifies. Works like a charm, and you don't need three hands!
Here are some tips for soldering the T-Plug:
1. Use a low melting point solder. We use electrical repair solder that is 60% tin and 40% lead with rosin flux core. This is available at most hardware stores.
2. Remember to slip a short length of shrink tube onto the wire you are connecting to a T-Plug before soldering, and keep it as far from the point of soldering as possible. Once the soldered connection has cooled, slip the shrink tube into place and use the heat from the soldering iron to shrink it.
